Quality Team Leader
Reports To: Chief Quality Officer and Vice President of Quality Services
Supervises: Assistant Quality Team Leaders and 1099 contract employees
The Quality Team Leader is accountable for the management of a team of Coders/OASIS Reviewers within the organization and supervises the tasks that these auditors accomplish. The Quality Team Leader has direct responsibility to assure that quality medical review is delivered within specific deliverables for each QIRT customer and that goals for each customer are met.
The Quality Team Leader oversees daily coordination of services that best meet the need and goals of the customer within QIRT standards. He/she works in close collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer and Chief Operating Officer to assure that auditing personnel are appropriately oriented, trained, and supported by education and managerial oversight to meet performance, quality and productivity goals.
The Quality Team Leader provides mentoring and teaching to QIRT staff in response to auditing and monitors the outcomes of the medical review. Provides oversight to all patient care plans ensuring optimal outcomes. Works in close collaboration with the Chief Clinical Officer to assure compliance with coding guidelines and OASIS review guidelines. The Quality Team Leader provides focused, hands-on education as needed for auditing staff.
Applicant must be:
Home Care Coding certified (HCS-D) & OASIS certified (HCS-O or COS-C) OR hold BCHH-C certification
2 years of experience in coding/OASIS review
Proficient on multiple EMR systems
Computer literacy is required.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Ability to multi-task and respond appropriately to the needs of a busy work environment.
Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Near visual acuity with review of records.
