Laura Page-Greifinger to Present Workshop at Palliative and Hospice Care Congress
QIRT CEO and President, Laura Page-Greifinger will present the workshop at Business Research Intelligence Network's Palliative and Hospice Care Congress, January 17-18, 2019 at the Wynn Las Vegas.
Laura will also be moderating a panel: Hospice and Palliative Care Collaboration and Integration Within Large Healthcare Systems
While most hospices are freestanding, large healthcare systems are increasingly interested in integration with hospices. There are a number of different models for a hospice and palliative care and large health system to work together. They can range from contractual affiliation/joint venture to a merger or asset purchase. This panel will discuss the various models, as well as its positives and negatives aspects.

About the Conference
Our nation is experiencing an increase in the need for hospice and palliative care services. What began fifty years ago as a grassroots movement to better care for the dying is now an integral part of the U.S. healthcare landscape and the expansion of community-based palliative care services provides further opportunities to ensure we are providing the best possible care for those facing serious and life-limiting illness.
This conference will bring together professionals in hospice and palliative care to explore excellence in leadership, strategy, and innovation, share models of care and best practices, explore the integration of palliative care across disciplines and settings, and help providers accelerate change in a value-based system. Topics will include tools and resources to improve quality outcomes; leading and enhancing teams, the impact of opioid use in palliative care; how to build a sustainable palliative care program; billing, coding and payment models and payer partnerships; staying in compliance; how to build a resilient workforce; and more.
